About Lander, Wyoming

Lander is still the “Real West”, and it is not unusual to see cattle drives down main street throughout the year. We enjoy summer rodeos with the oldest paid rodeo celebrated over the July 4th holiday. Lander is nestled at the base of the Wind River mountains and is home of the famed One Shot Antelope Hunt held every September. Lander is a stop for the International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race (IPSSSDR), and is host to the Wild Iris Climbers Festival. It is a short drive to the historical gold mining sites of South Pass and Atlantic City. The beautiful Sinks Canyon State Park is just a few minutes away to enjoy camping, picnics, rock climbing and hiking. Lander is a great place for an excellent quality of living.
